Swedish Sausage Pasta

This is classic Swedish comfort food. Smoked sausage in rich creamy Stroganoff sauce served with plain pasta. It is so simple and quick to make!

Serves: 4


8 Smoked sausage -  finely chopped (we love Hellers)

1 large onion, finely chopped

1 clove garlic, minced

1 Tbsp butter (we love Anchor)

Olive Oil (optional)

½ cup white wine ( we love Ara)

1 Tbsp tomato puree

1 Tbsp Dijon mustard

½ cup cream ( we love Anchor)

2 Tbsp capers

A handful of Dill, chopped (we love Superb herb)

2 packets Diamond Heat and Eat pasta


We use Le Creuset casserole dish to make the Sausage Stroganoff Sauce. 


  1. Heat a casserole dish over medium heat. Add butter. Fry the onion and garlic until soft and slightly golden.
  2. Add the sausage, tomato puree and dijon mustard and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the white wine and cook for 1 minute. Add the cream, capers, chives and cooked pasta.
  4. Toss until it the pasta sauce reaches a thick and creamy texture. Serve hot and devour immediately!
